EasySocial

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026  ·  craigedwardstewart.com/easysocial/privacy/

Overview

EasySocial is a web app built by Craig Edward Stewart that helps NZ real estate agents generate social media graphics from property listing URLs. This policy explains what data is collected when you use EasySocial, how it is used, and how it is protected.

EasySocial does not sell your personal data. Your information is used only to provide the service, maintain your account, and keep EasySocial running securely.

What data we collect

Account information

When you sign in, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, your name and email are provided by Google OAuth. If you sign in with a magic link, your email is collected when you request the link.

Agent profile

If you set up your agent profile inside EasySocial, we store the details you enter:

  • Your name and agency name
  • Your phone number
  • Your headshot photo (uploaded by you)
  • Your agency logo (uploaded by you)

This information is stored so it can be applied automatically to your graphics across sessions and devices. You can update or remove these details at any time inside the app.

Listing data

When you paste a listing URL, EasySocial fetches the property details and images from the listing website in order to generate your graphics. We may store a temporary record of the URL and fetched data associated with your account. Listing data belongs to the relevant listing website or agency and is used solely for the purpose of generating your graphics.

Usage information

We record basic usage data such as the number of listing fetches you have performed in a given period. This is used to enforce free tier limits and understand how the service is used at an aggregate level.

Billing information

If you subscribe to EasySocial Premium, your payment is processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status in your account record. We do not store full card details. Card information is handled entirely by Stripe.

Server logs

Like any web service, EasySocial generates server logs that may include your IP address, browser type, and request times. These are used for security monitoring, debugging and keeping the service running. Logs are not used for advertising or profiling.

How we use your data

Your data is used only for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate you and maintain your login session
  • To save your agent profile so it carries across devices and sessions
  • To fetch listing details and generate your property graphics
  • To manage your Premium subscription and billing status
  • To enforce free tier usage limits
  • To prevent abuse, protect security, and maintain the service
  • To respond to support requests you send us

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating EasySocial.

Third parties

EasySocial uses the following third-party services:

Stripe

Payment processing for EasySocial Premium. Stripe handles all card and payment data. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Google OAuth

Optional sign-in method. If you choose to sign in with Google, your name and email are shared with EasySocial by Google. We do not receive your Google password or any other Google account data.

Resend

Used to send magic link sign-in emails. Your email address is passed to Resend for the purpose of delivering your login link. Resend does not store your email address beyond what is required for delivery.

Cloudflare

EasySocial runs behind Cloudflare Tunnel infrastructure. Cloudflare may process request metadata as part of routing and security. See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Property listing websites

When you paste a listing URL, EasySocial makes a request to that listing website to fetch property data and images. Your IP address may be visible to that website as part of the request. EasySocial does not share your personal data with listing websites.

Data storage and security

Your account data is stored in a SQLite database on a server hosted in New Zealand, managed by Craig Edward Stewart. Reasonable technical measures are in place to protect data from unauthorised access.

Passwords are not stored. Authentication is handled via Google OAuth or time-limited magic links. Session tokens are JWT-based and stored in your browser's local storage.

Your uploaded photos (headshot and logo) are stored as part of your agent profile. You can remove them at any time by updating your profile inside the app.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you in EasySocial
  • Correct any inaccurate data in your profile
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Cancel your Premium subscription at any time

To request account deletion or a copy of your data, email [email protected]. Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe. Some minimal data (such as billing records required for accounting purposes) may be retained as required by law.

Cookies and analytics

EasySocial uses Google Analytics on the craigedwardstewart.com domain to understand how pages are visited. This may set analytics cookies in your browser. EasySocial does not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

The EasySocial app itself uses browser local storage to maintain your login session. This is not a tracking cookie.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by email. The current version is always available at craigedwardstewart.com/easysocial/privacy/.
